Although the performance of an organization is rather an abstract concept, it is also an extremely important element, which has to be put into a proper perspective from the point of view of the organization, of performance indicators taken into consideration, methods proposed for establishing performance at a certain level and of the chosen software.
The present paper is trying to present a comparison between different IT solutions for implementing Balanced Scorecard and to offer our opinion about a choosing one solution versus the other. We also have an analysis between several methods for determining the level of an organization's performance through economic and financial indicators. The "Dashboard" procedure versus "Balanced scorecard", transforming data in powerful managerial information, integrating "business intelligence" techniques, to create a useful and efficient intelligent system for any company it is also pointed out in our research.
