In the last years, the e-learning phenomenon has grown constantly especially as a result of developments in the communicational technologies. The e-Learning technology represents the most efficient and flexible educational method for distance learning. In this context, the on-line courses are a major preoccupation for the universities on international level.
This paper presents a series of e-Learning platforms adapted to the Romanian market, aspects that must be taken into consideration when a e-Learning platform is being designed, characteristics and evaluation criteria for e-Learning platforms.
