The issue of protecting and ensuring the industrial property rights is very important as their goal and purpose is the protection of the results of human intelligence and, in the same time, the guarantee of the advantage of the consumer.

After the entering into force of the Directive no. 2000/48/CE, Romania has transposed this legal instrument in the Romanian legislation by adopting the Government Ordinance no. 100/2005 which was approved with amendments by the Law no. 280/2005.

This normative act regulates the measures, the procedures and the compensation of damages with the purpose of ensuring the observance of industrial property rights.
