The objective of this paper is to analyze data management solutions and especially means to integrate Object Oriented Technology into DBMS. Main purpose is to find an alternative for realizing an information system to serve project management using budget. It is focusing on research.
The paper is a case study of the alternatives for object persistence in different DBMS-s. DBMS-s solutions for object management fall under four categories: relational, object, relational-object gateway and relational extended. This paper is, also, a comparative study of these categories. Each has its own constrains relative to providing persistence and shared objects.
