All decision support systems (DSS) are using models; the purpose of a model is to allow user and DSS that is used by the user to anticipate the consequents will appear if a decision is adopted. The model represents representations of a system, in the model are incorporated the most important characteristics of the system, the insignificant characteristics being eliminated.
