Abstract:

This paper explores the main factors that affect the organizational attitudes related to Knowledge Management (KM) in Romanian organizations. The analysis performed is centered on both managerial and cultural issues, with the attempt to identify how a successful knowledge management strategy can be developed and implemented. Based on data obtained from local managers, the qualitative research conducted in this study revealed valuable insights. The examination of managers’ attitudes and behaviors related to knowledge and KM helped to identify the main issues that Romanian organizations face with respect to KM and those courses of action needed to establish an organizational knowledge culture.
