Abstract:

This paper studies direct and indirect impact ofthe human-centered Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems on usersatisfaction. The objective of the paper is to measure a hierarchical influenceof five human-centered dimensions on user satisfaction both directly andindirectly. This paper attempts to provide answers to whether thehuman-centered measurement models provide a systematic evaluation of ERP. Thecontributions of the paper to knowledge are to establish the need for thehuman-centered approach as a basis for the design of ERP systems, to define asystematic hierarchical human-centered model for measurement, in particular, and accounting information systems, in general, and to develop methodology forvalidation of the measurement model and applies it to evaluation of ERPsystems. This paper suggests the application of a proposed five dimensionalmodel in measuring the human-centeredness of ERP systems using hierarchicalmodel and looks at the implementation in a university context.
