Abstract:
The law 279/2005 has established a new legal framework for this kind of labour relations. Basically, the new regulation is based on the latest form of the Labour Code but it is mostly intended to encourage the employers to absorb the important mass of young people aged between 16 and 25 years old, who are not qualified in their area of interest. The law stipulates firstly the form and the general content of the apprenticeship contract, the apprentice’s statute. It also regulates the authorization procedure of the employer and the attestation procedure of the foreman by the specialized authorities. In separate chapters, the law regulates the apprenticeship organization, its financial support and sanctions against the law’s inobservances.
