Abstract:
In a competitive environment characterized by the high pressure imposed on by competitors reflected in pricing policy and quality of products and in view of taking ownership and maintaining a market leader position, the performance of an innovative small or medium size enterprise is strictly related to technical progress – economic progress. This paper proposes to analyze the sustainability of innovative small and medium size enterprises in the context of the new requirements imposed by the EU accession.The intensification of scientific research activities and technologic development ensure – for the innovative enterprise - orientation towards progress, as well as continuous knowledge gain, abilities and power to adapt to the developments of the market.
