Abstract:  
The organizations’ information systems are exposed to varios threats. The governance IT principles ask to identify, asses and permanentely monitor the IT risks in order to increase the security of the information systems and maintain their operationallity and disponibility.
The present paper is a study case on an effective Business Continuity Plan The author objective is to present means to implement the best practice in planing, testing and implementing BCP.
The author has concentrate its research on the most sensitive problems as: BCP objectives and requirements, business continuity principles, BIA (Business Continuity Impact Analysis), crisis management.
The result of author research is represented by the BCP establish for a commercial bank applying, according with Basel Committee request, the international banking best practice.
